Skz Week 143 is an event dedicated to love in all forms~♡
We welcome and encourage all expressions from the fluffiest, sugary sweet affections to the darkest tales of passion.A list of prompts will be posted in advance. All those interested in participating can start creating immediately upon viewing the prompts!During the event week, each day will feature a specific theme. Those interested in participating will prepare creative works of any kind in advance to post on the appropriate days. As long as all content is appropriately tagged and the event account is mentioned, we will repost all event works on our account! At the end of the event, mods will compile all works submitted during the event period onto a Notion page for easy access.
♡ All participants must be 18+!♡ NSFW & SFW fan-created content is welcome. This can include fanfiction, fanart, podfics, mood boards, music playlists, poems, and any other mediums you desire!♡ ALL ships are allowed. This does include poly, OT8, platonic, cisswaps, and any other configuration your heart desires. If you want to do it, no need to ask us. Just do it!♡ No AI usage. Otherwise there are no further restrictions on content. As long as content is properly tagged, it is welcomed.♡ Tag all content to the best of your ability to warn for major triggers. A good rule of thumb is to go by the conventions already in place via AO3. Major archive warnings must be used (chose not to warn IS a valid warning), and any additional mutable trigger words when posting on twitter (formerly x).♡ We have a "no-harassment" policy that is non-negotiable. To interact with this event you must utilize a "don't like, don't read" mindset. If anyone is found to be involved with targeted harassment of our participants they will be blocked and banned from any future events.♡ All questions should be directed to the event account's DMs or asked on a public event post. Please refrain from DMing mods directly on their personal accounts about the event. We are happy to help you with whatever you need via the event account, so please don't hesitate to ask us!
When it's finally event week (yay!!!) it is easy as hek to post your lovingly crafted works for all to enjoy~♡Each day of the event, we will post a graphic announcing the theme & suggested prompts for that day. When we receive your mentions we will repost all works so long as they fit criteria.
What to do on posting day(s)
♡ Make a post on twitter and tag @skzweek143 either in the main post or in the thread.♡ Be sure that all content is tagged and major trigger warnings are accounted for!♡ If you are posting on AO3, be sure to add your work to the event's collection (will be linked closer to the event).♡ You are also welcome to QRT the event's prompt announcement post if you please.
What is a 'prompt week'?
A prompt week is a low pressure event that is similar to monthly prompt challenges such as Kinktober. Each day will feature an over-arching "theme" that fits with "love/143" and will have suggested prompts to work off of. Those interested in participating are invited to create works based on the prompts provided for each day. You do not have to alert us of your participation ahead of time. All you need to do is create on your own time, enjoy yourself, and post your work during event week!
What types of works are allowed?
Anything! If you can dream it, you can do it. Primarily, these sorts of events tend to include fanfiction and fanart. We also encourage you to be creative and include whatever works would be most fun for you. Some suggestions include podfics, mood boards, music playlists, poems, etc. We want this to be fun for everyone no matter what your medium is, so please use your imagination and creative drive to make whatever your heart desires.As for ratings, all are allowed. SFW, NSFW, and dark content are all fair game for this event.
Can works be posted late?
Yes! As long as the day for the prompt you wish to post for has already past, you are welcomed to post late. We will give late submissions up to a week to post before we will discontinue mod reposting and close the AO3 collection. Any works past that will not be reposted, added to the collection, or included in the event Notion compilation. You're still welcomed (and encouraged!!) to post in any works inspired by the event after the fact. We still want to see them!
What is the Notion compilation?
This will essentially be a database/spreadsheet that will organize all works submitted to the event so that it can be easily navigated! It can be difficult to view everything during the chaos of event week. Reposts on twt are not exactly intuitive. On the Notion you will be able to filter works by tags, ratings, ships, and even mark them "seen" as you go!
Can I create for more than one day?
Yes! There is no cap on how many works you can create & post for the event. You can do as little or as much as you please.
What will the prompt list look like?
As of posting this, we are in the process of writing the prompts. Each day will feature an overarching "theme" and will have ~3 more specific prompts included. You are welcome to mix and match those prompts, or just create based off the general theme without using those specific prompts. The point is to be creative and interpret the "theme" however you want!As an example, if the theme for Day 1 is "never letting go" the suggested prompts might be "bonded, soulmates, confined" and you can choose to create based on any combination of those or to interpret "never letting go" in whatever way you'd like.
Can I participate anonymously?
Absolutely. You are more than welcome to upload your work to our AO3 collection anonymously. There is no requirement to make a promo post on twt in order to do so. Additionally, if you would like your work to be promoted on our page we can accommodate that. During posting week we will open an optional "anonymous promo" form where you can submit your work to us without revealing yourself. We will make a promo post on our page for you!
Do I have to post a promo on twt in order to participate?
Nope! Please feel free to upload your work to our AO3 collection without the need to make a post. The only reason we ask to be mentioned in promo posts is so that we can boost your work. <3
Are collabs allowed?
YES. Even more than that, they're encouraged! We would love to see creators working together and the beautiful content that comes of it.
Can I talk about my WIPs before posting week?
Definitely. It's completely up to you how much you want to reveal ahead of time and how much you want to keep people on the edge of their seat, and we will not stop you either way. In fact, sometimes it's fun to build community by discussing your event WIPs! Tag the event account in any of your publicly posted WIPs and we will repost them~
